I accept that some of the allegations against Cllr Fred Wildgust are not true, and others are unproven. . I have received the following emails from him and I have to accept his threat of legal action, as indicated in the emails copied below, as serious.
If anyone want to publish accusations against any councillors and are prepared to put their own name to them then I will consider putting them on the site, please email me with any such contributions.
Meanwhile I will have to remove certain postings on the chatroom to avoid litigation. I apologise for this.

Your website has become a venue for insulting of me and my politics by a few individuals. I have asked you to remove all postings about me and that's what I want.
The facts have been stated in my posting. If you do not stop the malicious content and attacks I will be pursing legal action against you with no hesitation.
I have now contacted the park estates and highlighted the allegations of corruption that have been implied against the company and its family. I hope that they take a very dim view on the matter that your website has been a front for allegations that they have bribed an elected member.

Thank you for your email.
I cannot introduce a vetting system with the software I have, neither would it be practical on a chatroom where the conversations on most occasions are just that, conversations in real time.
I will accept what you say about the drive and I will remove the postings that you say are untrue, but please in return will you send me an allow me to publish a statement from you putting the matter straight?
Can you let me know which postings you are objecting to?
Also do you wish for me to publish a statement by you about the St James Field business, your posting was the first indication of how you viewed the planning application?

I have accepted the crap that has been posted about me on your message board over the months but today you have allowed your users to go to far, you have allowed them to accuse me of corruption. You as the web master have a responsibility to ensure that the information is correct. I am seeking your support to remove any postings that are related to me and vet information that is posted in the future.
I have previously discussed your website with my solicitor and have sought legal advice. I am now informing you that unless you stop the malicious postings about myself and the clearly unfounded allegations.
I would like all information removed about me within 3 days or I will take legal action against yourself. This email has been sent to my solicitor and the borough solicitor to ensure that everyone understands the gravity of the situation.
